BIKINI BODY MOMMY | 5 DAY SLIM DOWN

Want to Drop a few LBS to get you Looking and Feeling your Best, before the weekend and your next big Holiday Party? Here's the SKINNY....


In case you happened to miss THIS POST ... I just found out yesterday that I have a very important photo shoot booked on VERY short notice, for this coming Tuesday -- which is just 5 days away... Eeeek! My slight initial panic over not feeling 100% ready to bare my ass-ets (pun intended) in front of the camera, got me thinking!  Being the holiday season, I know SO many of us have events that we really want to look and feel our best for, without a ton of time to make it happen -- right?!

Soooo... while I am vehemently against crash dieting and other methods of EXTREME temporary weight loss, there are certainly methods that can be implemented to help you slim down and tone up in a short period of time, precisely for circumstances like the ones I just described! 

With that said ... yesterday, I asked all of you amazing bikini body mommies who are on FB, how many of you would appreciate me sharing the tips and "behind the scenes" scoop on how I'll go about getting "Photo-shoot Ready," over the course of the next 5 days?  Well the response, to be honest, was a little overwhelming -- but I listened!  Since the overwhelming majority of you wanted me to do a "once daily" blog of my daily regime over the next 5 Days -- HERE IT IS!

I also had numerous requests to post all 5 Days together, so that you wouldn't have to jump around the blog to find all 5 of them!  GREAT IDEA.

So here's how this is going to work. I'm going to edit THIS ONE blog post -- every night, and add each subsequent day below the last --> SO MAKE SURE you come back each day, and scroll down to see the following day of the slim down!

MEAL #1 : 1 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
                    20 Blueberries

MEAL #2 : Small Handful Almonds

MEAL #3 : Fresh Salad
                 2 Hard boiled Eggs
                 Greek Yogurt Dressing (mix 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt w/ 1 tablespoon of honey)

MEAL #4 : Carrots, Mushrooms, 1/2 Orange Bell Pepper
                    1/3 cup Hummus

MEAL #5 : Small Chicken Breast (breaded in egg whites and Quinoa Flour)
                    1/2 Small Avocado

                    Large tossed Salad (w/Cherry Tomatoes, sprinkle of Feta cheese, cucumber, mushrooms, and cranberries)
                    1 Tablespoon Poppy Seed Dressing

  1. Just curious about the benefits of Biotin and Dandelion Root. Why do you take them? And I love hummus! I also never knew there was such thing as quinoa flour--awesome.

    1. GREAT QUESTION Sarah!!!

      Biotin -- I've started taking Biotin about 2 months ago, because I had a ton of postpartum hair loss and was shedding like a phine! Hairloss after pregnancy is just par for the course, but it can be amplified anytime your body under goes "stress" (like massive weight loss). Biotin is widely known to not only help strengthen your hair and nails, but it also helps your body transform the fat, protein and carbohydrates in your food to energy needed by the body -> thus resulting in greater fat loss. WIN-WIN. :)

      Dandelion Root - Has loooong been used amongst athletes who are required to drop excess water weight in order to make their respective weight class - like wrestlers, boxers, MMA fighters. Dandelion is a natural diuretic to help the body get rid of excess fluid and waste! When water is pulled from the body it gives your muscles a leaner, more toned appearance :)

  3. Are biotin and dandelion root safe while nursing?

    1. Hi Sarah!!! GREAT QUESTION :)
      Biotin is ABSOLUTELY safe to take while you are nursing. Dandelion root however IS NOT. Dandelion is a diuretic, and would eliminate the water your body NEEDS in order to produce milk :)

  6. How did you make the tuna avocado...looks delicious!!!!!

    1. To make 1 serving: 1 whole Avacado, 1 can tuna (drained), sprinkle of onion & garlic powder. Halve the avacado length wise, scrape out the insides (only use 1/2 of one side for the tuna mixture). Add 1 can of tuna to 1/2 the avacado. Mix together. Season with onion & garlic power. Scoop the mixture into the two empty avacado shells. Place Avacado on baking sheet, in the oven on 475 for about 5-10minutes. Turn the broiler on last min to make the top crunchy. And SERVE. **You can also add finely chopped mushrooms to the mixture, or other spices that you like... :)

      I got the Biotin at the Health Food store at the bottom of our street (Directly across from Quigly's ...Northside of Queen next to the theater)

    Do you take Dandelion root all the time? Or only for short bursts like this 7 day slim down you're posting? What kind of liquid fish oil do you take? And you may have discussed this already in a previous post. Sorry if that's the case.

    1. Thanks So much Lali!!! I only take Dandelion Root for a shoot .... Its a natural diuretic and wouldn't be health to take on a regular basis! The Fish oil brand I use is ... Nortic Naturals! Hope this helps :) xo

  10. Question about the Biotin. I went to Target and bought some but it is only 1,000 mcg not the 10,000 that you are taking. If you were me, would you take 10 pills through out the day to equal the 10,000 mcg? Or am still getting the benefit from the 1,000?

  11. I am so in love with your blog! You are awesome! Do you take Biotin year round? And what are the benefits of taking Fish Oil? Do you take that year round as well? I love your food/snack ideas. I've never seen egg whites with salsa before, but it looks so yummy! :)

  12. why not krill oil instead of fish oil? Ive read krill oil is more potent and absorbed by our bodies better.
